Klinger Italy internal Kainzen started the first days of March and will last for about two months.
Kaizen (改善), in Japanese means "change for better" and in working environments refers to activities that steadily improve all functions and involve all employees (from the CEO to the assembly line workers) and applies to processes, such as purchasing, production and logistics, that cross organizational boundaries into the supply chain.
Klinger Italy started, on 3rd of March 2015, its first Kaizen process, with a 64-hour class path addressed to all colleagues of production, technical and quality departments (16 people divided into 2 groups) that will follow theoretical and practical activities.
The target is to start a Lean Manufacturing culture that will optimize our production and warehouse activities.
The kaizen process is composed by different activities like PDCA Cycles (Plan-Do-Check-Act), 5S (separate, set, scrub, standardize and step up), 5 WHY and Root Cause Analysis.
All together they are forming an operative series that, if duly and continuously performed, following up the different steps in a circular way, can lead to a substantial reduction of energy, raw materials, maintenance, costs and wastes, leading the organization to a general improvement of the work conditions, of the quality of the products and of the whole company itself.
